You have a target market that your membership site is designed for.  The next thing you want to do is create a free ebook to give away one your membership site to get leads names and emails.  This book must be good, but not so good that they do not need to join your membership site.

For example, you could write about how to use Twitter to promote a business (If marketing is your membership site) and you could give the best tip, and tell them to watch the video and read the article for more information in the membership site.

Then you have the autoresponder set to keep sending emails periodically to the people until they sign up or unsubscribe.  You can sell your membership site membership as well as other things that you know that target audience needs, such as affiliate products.
